The FESTIVAL OF THE BELLS
Canceled for 2021:
Due to Covid-19 Restrictions
See You in 2022!!
The Festival of the Bells Committee, the City of Hillsboro, and the Highland County Health Department have determined the need to cancel the 2021 Festival of the Bells.
Currently, it is too difficult to provide a safe event for our community, guests, artists and vendors. The potential for a large crowd in a confined area is a health concern.
The decision was made with heavy hearts but with the best intentions in mind for all involved.
Efforts will focus on a strong comeback for the 2022 Festival of the Bells.

The Festival of the Bells, celebrated each 4th of July weekend in Hillsboro, Ohio, is an outgrowth of a successful 1976 Bicentennial celebration of the founding of our country. When local citizens were searching for a permanent name for a yearly celebration, it was noted that at one time Hillsboro was famous for the production of steel alloy bells, which were shipped around the world. Thus the name Festival of the Bells was established. The Festival has continued to provide three days of family friendly events, a variety of vendors and crafters, rides, games, and quality entertainment. Past performers have included well known Christian artists (sponsored by the local ministerial association and area churches), and chart-topping country musicians.
